The ‘Lab’ was somewhat disappointed by early NASA’s Dawn spacecraft remote viewing image of protoplanet Vesta; viewed from a distance of 26,000 miles (41,000 kilometers); away from the 530 kilometers (330 mi) wide asteroid.

A large file was discovered on the Wikipedia entry for Vesta, but it lacked that snappiness. Into Photoshop it went and out came this ‘enhanced image. ‘

For your comparison: the original, not enhanced image.

In the words of Richard C. Hoagland, of Enterprise Mission fame:

  • The amazing visions of  “an artificial Vesta”
  • game changer
  • geometric shapes that indicate ruins
  • station built by a Type 2 civilization

Millions of residents in Moscow witnessed a strange bright ring-shaped cloud hanging over the city’s western districts on Wednesday (October 2009).

Scientists from the city’s weather forecast service say there is nothing supernatural about it, however.

Yeah, right.

“It’s a purely optical effect, even if a spectacular one. You can see really strange things if you watch the clouds regularly… Several air fronts have passed Moscow recently, including an inflow of cold air from [the] Arctic, and they combined to produce such a phenomenon,” the source added.

A portent.

Video of the strange aerial phenomena was only a portent of things to come;  soon sky spirals would be popping up in both hemispheres of the World, as examined in this very detailed report,  filed on the Enterprise Mission website shows. Consider if you will, this video from Down Under. Beautifully poised amid a picturesque twilight, sinking toward the horizon, amateur videographer narrates–in real-time–the unfolding of a classic sky spiral.

Theories abound.

As sky watchers struggle to comprehend the strange aerial apparitions; speculations range from worm holes, to secret Russian missile launches and even SpaceX’s Falcon 9, fill-up page after page of web blogs such as this one. As my old friend Richard C. Hoagland is so fond of saying:  stay tuned, kids.
